Mizunara Park Single Cask Borderies 2006 Cognac

€163.00

"The unique alliance between a Borderies Single Cru 2006 and Mizunara oak. The PARK Borderies Mizunara Single Cask 2006 Cognac derives its uniqueness from a marriage between a 100% Borderies Single Cru Cognac distilled in 2006 and a maturation in Mizunara oak barrels, an extremely rare Japanese wood found in the legendary Nikko forest. This complex wood gives the Park Cognac a slightly spicy flavor, absolutely unique. A 100% Borderies Cognac, the most exclusive of the 6 crus of the Cognac region, giving round, floral and sweet eaux-de-vie, characterized by subtle notes of violets. The traditional double distillation process in the Charente region (known as ""à repasse"") with 25 hectoliter copper stills produces finely elaborated eaux-de-vie. PARK Borderies Mizunara Single Cask Cognac is made of eaux-de-vie distilled in 2006 and aged in oak barrels. After 10 months in new barrels, the cognac is transferred to 400-liter redwood barrels, where it stays for several years and patiently acquires a wide range of aromas. At the end of its ageing period, the blend is matured for 6 months in new Japanese oak barrels, with a capacity of 500 liters, called Mizunara. An atypical refining that delivers delicate spicy tones."
